Reflection week 3

            These week topics are main features and criteria of innovative learning environments. The innovative learning environment  are: 1) Analysis of innovative learning environment, 2) Current trend and issues online learning environment and 3)main features and criteria of innovative learning environment. From we start our class Dr. Jamaluddin give a task for everyone to search principal of Innovative. After that upload and share to e-learning what everyone get from the website.

           

            After we discuss the principal of learning Dr Jamaluddin give a sheet about seven principal of innovation. The seven principal of innovation are: 1) Learners at the center, 2) The social of learning, 3) Emotions are integral to learning, 4) Recognizing individual differences, 5) Stretching all students, 6) Assessment for learning and 7) Building horizontal connections.

Activities

            Dr Jamaluddin gives a number and divides into small group to discuss about the topic. The learning types is jigsaw learning that need to discuss in a group after that change the group member and discuss to others group member. From this types of learning it can makes more enjoyable and know each other that we can share the knowledge.

            The end of the class we discuss about assignment 1 that need to submit on 5 October 2015. 

Reflection week 2

            These week topics are online learning environment. The online learning environment divide into three subtopic, which are: 1) What is online learning, 2) Types of online learning environment, 3) Online learning vs innovative learning. Dr Jamaluddin explains about the meaning of online and learning environment. It’s also describe the types of online learning includes e-learning, online learning, virtual learning environment, formal and informal learning environment, and personal and social learning environment. 

            Each type has a different meaning that we need to understand. Online learning and e-learning almost the same thing and meaning. Virtual learning is a learning platform system. It’s also delivering materials to students. Formal learning environment is a learning system that organized and structured environment. Informal learning environment support the system for example youtube. It’s also more interactive and freedom to select the tool.

            In the class Dr Jamaluddin also discuss about Personal learning environment and Social learning environment. The meaning almost same but a bit different. For me the different between social learning environment and personal learning environment are learning environment that help learners to learn at their own pace and manage their own learning. For example Twitter, Facebook and Gmail. The social interaction is a learning environment where the learning occurs through social interaction between peers.

Activities

            During the class, Dr Jamaluddin gives a task innovation use of technology in teaching and learning. We need to list criteria and principles in innovation. We need to discuss in group 3-4 person and present the input to in front that we can share the knowledge. We hav2 three group presentation and the input are different each other. The activity learning call cooperative and “jigsaw”. From this activity there make student more understand and also enjoyable during class lesson.

Reflection week 1

7 September 2015

            Our class innovative learning environment start on 4.00pm, the lecturer introduces herself to students. The lecturer’s names are Assoc Prof. Dr. Jamalludin Hj. Harun & Dr. Noor Dayana Abdul Halim. In the first week, Dr Jamaluddin briefing a little bit about our subject. There explain about course and syllabus that cover every week. The first topic for this week is basic topic of innovative learning environments. Basic topic of innovative learning environment divide into two small topic are: 1) innovative learning environment and 2) Technology rich innovative learning environment. There also describe about the meaning of innovation and learning environment. For me, the explanation from Dr. Jamaluddin is clear and understands what the purpose of the class.  It’s also describing the comparison about innovative and innovation that students must know and understand the meaning before we go to the next topic next week.

            The implement of innovative learning environment today are focus at school and institution to be transformed and to become environment in teaching and learning. There also makes people lifelong learners and prepare them for 21^st century. High order thinking need for people to be creative solved the real world problem, teamwork, social and communication skills. Innovative learning represents a new way of teaching or a better ways to use teaching technology. The first task or assignments that we discuss about analyze current trends and issues of innovative learning environments. The assignment is individual assignment. The submission on week four. Dr Jamaluddin briefing a little bit about final project innovative learning environment. We need to prepare project proposal, design and development, presentation and final report.
